LAHORE - A 25-year-old woman was battling for life at the Mayo Hospital with multiple burns, rescue workers said late Thursday.

The victim was identified by police as Sonia. According to sources, the woman was hospitalised  with 80 percent burns. Her condition is said to be very critical and doctors are struggling to save her.

It was unclear how the resident of Taxali Gate sustained burns. Her relatives told the police that Sonia was cooking food in the kitchen when she caught fire, all of a sudden. The police however, were investigating the incident.
