Islamabad - Capital Development Authority Environment Wing in collaboration with Climate Change Ministry on Thursday launched Spring Tree Plantation Campaign 2018 at Fatima Jinnah Park in F-9.

    Federal Minister for Climate Change Mushahidullah Khan chief guest at the event said that all out efforts were being made to support such campaigns on every level.

    In this regard ministry of Climate Change is playing an active role through fire fighting trainings, advisory in Wildlife Management Board, zoo advisory and forestation at Margala hills.      Speaking on the occasion, Executive DG of CDA’s environment wing, Sanaullah Aman, said that the priority of CDA was to make the capital green and beautiful city.

    He urged the civil society and residents of Islamabad to play their respective roles in making the campaign a success.

    CDA would plant shadowy and fruit trees including Kachnar, Amaltas, Pine, Taearanda, olive and others in each sector of the capital, he said.     He said the saplings would be planted in collaboration with various non-government organizations, schools, colleges and universities.

    There were many stalls arranged by students of various schools on the occasion.

    The event was attended by officers of Ministry of Climate Change, Capital Development Authority, non-governmental organizations, students and teachers from different schools and journalists.
