President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that the Zionist regime is trying to take advantage of Lebanon's current situation and do harm to the country. Talking with Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the phone, President Ahmadinejad said regional countries should find a way to resolve Lebanon problems with cooperation. According to the report of Presidential Office website, President Ahmadinejad and Turkey's prime minister discussed the latest developments in Lebanon and underlined necessity of common efforts to find a solution for Lebanon problems on Friday evening. The two sides, by expressing regret over current situation in Lebanon, called for a prompt decision to solve Lebanon problem without foreigners' interference. Referring to Iran's positive and constructive role in the region, Erdogan underlined joint efforts for establishment of stability in Lebanon. He said that regional stability depends on Lebanon stability and added that Iran and Turkey along with other countries of the region should play a role in controlling Lebanon crisis.
