LAHORE - PIA has commenced its flight operation for Zahedan, Iran on Saturday. The first flight PK-196 departed from Karachi to Quetta and then onwards for its destination to Zahedan, Iran, spokesman of the airline said here on Saturday. He said that a ceremony in this connection was held at Quetta Airport. The passengers were seen off by chief guests Mrs Shama Parveen Magsi Provincial Minister Information Technology & Coordination Balochistan, Consul General of Iran, Seyed Hassan Yahyavi and PIAs General Manager Passenger Sales, Rashid Farookee among other officials of PIA. The flights passengers were welcomed at Zahedan, Iran by PIAs Regional Manager Gulf and Central Asia, Ali Tahir Qasim. The Governor of Zahedan was the chief guest at the occasion. PIA will operate two flights to Zahedan, Iran from Karachi and Quetta every Saturday and Wednesday with convenient timings.
