DHAKA (Reuters) - A truck slammed head-on into a van carrying policemen in Bangladesh early on Saturday, killing 10 officers, witnesses said. At least three policemen were hurt in the accident, which occurred in dense fog near Narsingdi town, 80 km (50 miles) from the capital Dhaka. The truck fled the scene, its occupants apparently unhurt. Road accidents are common in Bangladesh, mainly due to poor roads and reckless driving, and claim up to 4,000 lives on average each year.
