KANGANPUR - PML-N Youth Wing Kasur President Mian Ghulam Hussain Shahid has stated that revolution cannot be brought through holding of big public gatherings alone rather it requires an ideology, vision, a public welfare programme and a hard working team of selfless and sincere workers. The PML-N stalwart argued that those beating the drums of change must bear in mind that Pakistan did not come into being through sloganeering. “To speak about revolution and change is always easy but it takes a lot of guts and strong conviction to materialise this idea.”
He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of Ahsan Sports Stadium at Higher Secondary School Kanganpur here.
The PML-N leader, speaking to a huge gathering, opined that revolution and change could not be brought through long and deep-throated speeches neither change could be brought by “beating hollow” drums over night, adding that if revolution could be brought through public gatherings and hollow sloganeering Ashgar Khan could have done so long ago. Mian Ghulam Hussain questioned that what positive change had made in the country by the cohorts of a dictator Pervez Musharraf? He declared that Pakistan was not a personal property of Zardaries or Gilanies rather it belonged to the entire nation.
Speaking on the occasion, PML-N District Vice President and Parliamentary Secretary Ch Ahsan Raza Khan said that he had joined politics with the aim to serving the public. He said that he was grateful to Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for granting huge funds for the projects of Girls Degree College, Sports stadium, public park, roads and model school in the area. He expressed his hope that these projects would help raise the living standard of the local population. He claimed that the Punjab government had a vision for the development and prosperity of the province, especially the under developed rural area.
