TOBA TEK SINGH - PML-N MNA Haji Junaid Anwaar and MPA Sardar Ayub Gadhi on Sunday said that those so-called leaders who were joining Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had been in the habit to change parties whenever they guise any party could come into power.
While addressing PML-N workers in Chak 382/JB Jalalpur here, they demanded President Zardari and Prime Minister Gilani to resign and announce fresh elections. Former UC nazim Waheed Anwar, naib nazim advocate Kamran Zafar, former UC chairman Ch M Hafeez, Ch Ihsan Bari of Chak 317/JB and Abdul Sattar Puppoo of Chak 385/JB announced joining the PML-N on the occasion.
Proportional representation suggested: Punjab JUI-F Ameer Maulana Rasheed Ahmad Ludhianvi has said that before announcing holding of the next general election an impartial caretaker government, deletion of 35 million fake votes from voters list and formation of an independent election commission was necessary.
While addressing a seminar on Sunday at district press club hall here, he suggested that the next general election be held on proportional representation basis and independent candidates must be discouraged. JUI-F District Ameer Maulana Talha Abbasi, Dr Rafiq Anwar Chishti, Maulana Lutfullah, Maulana Abdul Qadoos, Qari Umer Farooq and advocate Shahbaz Gujjar also spoke on the occasion.
