Hina to visit Russia next month

ISLAMABAD - In a major foreign policy change, Pakistan has decided to increase its bilateral relations with the Russian Federation and other regional countries, sources said on Sunday. Sources said Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar would visit Moscow next month in effort to boost bilateral relations between the two countries.
The move comes after Pakistan brought about major policy shift in its relations with the United States and is seeking written agreements with Washington for future cooperation between the two erstwhile strategic partners in the international war against terror.
Sources said that foreign minister would try to cultivate Moscow to boost bilateral relations and would also exchange views over the international and regional situation particularly peace in Afghanistan.
Sources further said that Pakistan and Afghanistan have also agreed to resume talks to establish peace in the war torn country. High-level exchange visits between the two neighbours are expected soon. Both Islamabad and Kabul have also agreed to resume talks on reconciliation process in Afghanistan.
