PESHAWAR - Headmasters of various high schools of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday demanded of the provincial government to upgrade their scale from 17 into 18 otherwise they would observe protest sit-in in front of provincial assembly.

Kherullah Khawari, president of All Headmasters Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (AHAKP) addressing a press conference at press club said that nearly 2000 headmasters and headmistresses in different educational institutions in KP and Fata were performing their duties as head of the institution on scale 17 and many retired in the same grade.

Flanked by Shams-ul-Islam, general secretary, Muhammad Javed and other office-bearers, he informed that they had launched a series of peaceful protest movement and its first phase would be completed on January 28 and the second would take place from February 1 in which protest would be held on districts and tribal agencies level while in third phase they would observe protest sit-in outside provincial assembly.
