Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid Thursday said the present democratic Govt is fully determined to turn Pakistan into a more democratic and a civilized society.
He said this during a meeting with European Union delegation headed by the Ambassador of EU Lars-Gunnar Wigemark in Islamabad.
The Minister said PML-N Govt will fulfill its international obligations with regard to human rights‚ good governance‚ labor and environmental standards.  He said it considers them in the benefit of its own people.
He said now Pakistan is a fully functional democracy‚ where media is free‚ judiciary fully independent and the civil society highly dynamic.
Pervaiz Rashid said grant of GSP plus status to Pakistan will not only increase Pakistan’s exports to EU but would also pave the way for economic prosperity and development in the country.
