LAHORE  - A UAE-returned man was gunned down while 12 others including women were wounded seriously when several ‘gangsters’ opened indiscriminate fire on their opponents in the Gowalmandi area late Tuesday night.
Police investigators said on Wednesday that at least six gunmen have been arrested and they are being grilled in connection with the gun attack over old enmity.
Police said that the residents of Chamber-Lane Road Fareed Gujjar and Hamid Gujjar had developed old enmity. On the day of incident, Salman alias Saghir exchanged harsh words with his opponent Arshad Butt when they were witnessing the main procession of Eid Milad-un-Nabi in the walled city area.
Arshad Butt allegedly gave a good thrash to Salman alias Saghir, who called in armed men to teach a lesson to his rivals. The gunmen of Fareed Gujjar group opened indiscriminate on their opponent, creating lawlessness like situation in the entire locality.
