Nadra creates unrest among masses: JI

KARACHI - Muhammad Khurrum Mujahid, a Jamaat-e-Islami youth leader, has warned that Nadra policies are creating a sense of deprivation and unrest among youth of Karachi.

He said while chairing a meeting that a large number of youngsters will take part in JI’s protest demonstration against Nadra at Babar Market in Landhi.

The youth leader said that Nadra is directly responsible for depriving a large number of people from their livelihood and opportunities to pursue their education. He alleged that Nadra officials put forward illogical demands as pretexts to refuse Computerised National Identity Cards to people in Karachi as well as across the country.

He also warned such policies are pushing several segments of the society to believe that they are being subjected to discrimination on the basis of ethnicity and language. Khurrum Mujahid further said that the people of Karachi will not only stage protest on 19th January in Landhi but will also use all legal and democratic means against the authority for what he called inefficiency and lack of capability of Nadra high-ups.

He said that JI will not put Karachiites on the mercy of Nadra officials. He said that the party has always raised it’s voice and made efforts to safeguard the interests of masses and will continue to do so in future.
