QUETTA - Pakistan Muslim League-Q leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Monday said they would eliminate corruption in Balochistan with the help of young leadership.
“It is our effort and pray that the provincial assembly should complete its tenure,” Elahi said in a press conference at the chief minister’s house. The PML-Q central leader, on his arrival in Quetta, met with Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, the party chief minister, lawmakers and workers after his party succeeded in securing the slot of the Balochistan chief minister.
Pervaiz Elahi said PML-Q had brought forth young leadership and hoped Abdul Quddus Bizenjo would take concrete steps for elimination of corruption and welfare of the people of the province. “Balochistan will become corruption-free under the leadership of Bizenjo,” Pervaiz Elahi claimed. Responding to a query regarding dissolution of the Balochistan Assembly, the PML-Q leader replied it would be their efforts and good wishes for the assembly to complete its constitutional tenure.
Lashing out at the Punjab government, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said 14 people were shot dead in Model Town, but their killers are still at large even after the lapse of three years. “The Punjab government failed to bring the culprits to justice,” he lamented.
The PML-Q leader had been flanked by the party lawmakers and office-bearers in the press conference.
