A mistake worth crores

The CNG stations earned a handsome gain overnight due to a single government mistake that was later attributed to a calculation or conversion error. We all saw Mr. Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the Minister of Petroleum, announce an increase of Rs13 in CNG prices. Later, the Petroleum Ministry issued a clarification late on Tuesday. The CNG operators, meanwhile, benefited on account of the government mistake.
