LAHORE - Pakistan Muslim League President Ch Shujaat Hussain has said that all decisions regarding burning issues of national level should be taken within the country and government should discuss terrorism policy in Parliament. He was expressing these views along with Opposition Leader in National Assembly Ch Pervaiz Elahi here at Lahore Airport on Tuesday prior to his departure to Dubai on a private visit. While talking to newsmen, Ch Shujaat said that it was high time that all decision should be taken within country whereas leaders of coalition government were deciding all issues while staying outside the country. Answering a question, he said,"we are going to Dubai on personal visit and not to meet PPP Co-Chairperson Asif Ali Zardari there. If we ever met him, we would not hide it from the media and the venue for the meeting would also be within country". Replying to a question, former Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi said that if government wanted to formulate any policy on terrorism, it should be discussed in parliament prior to its finalisation. PML-Q would support every move of the government, which served the best interest of the country, he added. He dispelled the impression that previous government was responsible for the current menace of loadshedding He, however, alleged that supply of electricity was disturbed because government could not disburse the payments to IPPs in time. He said that people would come to know as to which government was responsible for the price-hike, if they make a comprehensive comparison of the performance of present and previous governments.
