KARACHI - Judicial Magistrate District South Mohammad Ashraf Khawaja on Tuesday raided Preedy Police Station and recovered an illegally detained man Majid and issued directives to produce him before the court on Wednesday (today). According to details, the judicial magistrate raided on the complaint of the Majid's mother and issued directives to police to produce the detainee before the court. The applicant revealed that the police detained her son for some days without any charge and didn't even lodged any case. She said that police neither made it clear that why her son arrested but asking bribe for his release. Police also threatened her for dire consequences if she will not fulfill their demands, she said.  Investigation In-charge Jaffar Jamali was not available for comments when contacted. The Preedy police official told The Nation that the boy was taken to police station by the investigation team. Police also alleged that the boy involved in kidnapping for ransom. He said that the FIR against the boy was not registered, while the investigation team was busy in investigation with the boy, suddenly the judicial magistrate reached there.
