LAHORE - A victim of car-theft approached Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Rawalpindi region on Monday against a police officer for ruining his case allegedly by receiving hefty bribe from car lifters and fraudsters.
Deputy Director Legal ACE Rawalpindi Region, Sajid Qureshi, received the application and launched an inquiry into the matter by issuing notice to the accused police officer.
Shamroz Khan, son of Muhammad Nawaz Mughal, a resident of Rawalpindi, filed an application with ACE in which he stated that he owned a car showroom at Mumtaz Market and gave a Suzuki Mehran (RIA-2601) to a customer Sheikh Ashfaq Ahmed on rent, who later neither returned the car nor paid the rent.
