ISLAMABAD: Official sources told that mobile phone services will not be shut because it would cause difficulties for the masses. No provincial government has yet made request to shut mobile services for security reasons as security situation returning to normal across the country thanks to operation Zarb-e-Azb.

Official sources said that the police and security agencies will do the utmost to fulfill their responsibilities to avoid any unwanted situation on occasion of Eid.

The federal government had blocked mobile phone services in some areas as part of security arrangements for Yaum-e-Ali.

Mobile services had been shut down during Eid during the previous government.
