PTF to conduct camps at Gilgit, Hunza

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Taekwando Federation (PTF) on the directions of Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) conducted national taekwondo training camps for both males and females at Gilgit and Hunza from June 20 to July 15.
Talking to The Nation, PTF president Lt Col (R) Waseem Ahmed Janjua said: “The camps are being established keeping in mind 7th Commonwealth Taekwondo Championship 2016 to be held in Pakistan. We deputed two male and one female coach to train athletes of GB Taekwondo Association. The players are very fit and climate is ideal for the training of taekwondo.” “More than 100 females at Hunza camp and 50 at Gilgit clearly indicate there is lot of potential of taekwondo in this area. We will request IPC and PSB to establish more national and local camps here to unearth young talent,” Waseem concluded.
