LAHORE - A woman attempted to commit suicide in Lahore High Court when she came to know that her husband’s bail application had not been accepted in a human smuggling case here on Wednesday.

Sumera Bibi, who along with her children, had come to Lahore to hear the case of her husband. As the LHC judge issued notice to her husband in the case, she came out of the courtroom and started screaming.

She threatened to commit suicide besides setting her children ablaze, before the security officials took her into custody and forcibly ousted her from the court’s building. Chief Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik also took notice of incident and sought report from the security officials.
