8 arrested for setting up illegal cattle market in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD   -   Assistant Commissioner (Rural) and Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA) of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Thursday conducted an operation against illegal cattle market in Tarlai, Tramri Chowk here and ordered the arrest of eight persons for violating the law.

The DMA also impounded the cattle, according to the officials. Meanwhile, AC (Secretariat) checked Covid-19 SOPs in gyms, restaurants and super stores in Bahria Enclave and sealed three restaurants on account of serving the customers through unvaccinated staff. Price checking, un-authorised use of polythene bags and hygiene were also inspected in fruit, vegetable, milk and other shops and the violators were warned and fined. Moreover, offices and premises of an illegal housing society were also sealed on account of violations of Section 144 in the jurisdiction of police station Bhara Kahu, said the officials.

Furthermore, AC (City) inspected prices of essential commodities in commercial areas of sector G-6 and G-7. 

The violators were warned as per law. AC Secretariat also inspected vegetable shops, meat shops, general stores, cash & carries, bakeries, restaurants etc. for enforcement of the government prescribed rates, compliance of Covid-19 SOPs and un-authorised use of plastic bags in the Aabpara market. The violators were fined and warned as per law, said the officials.
