ISLAMABAD - Two security personnel including a Captain embraced martyrdom when terrorists targeted the security forces using an improvised explosive device (IED) in Khuda Bux Bazar near Pasni on Thursday. The martyred personnel were identified as Captain Affan Masood and Sepoy Babar Zaman.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) directorate, a search operation was conducted in the area to apprehend the perpetrators. The media wing of the military said that such cowardly acts by inimical elements, backed by hostile intelligence agencies cannot sabotage the hard-earned peace and prosperity in Balochistan.
“Security forces are determined to neutralize such nefarious designs at all costs,” it added.
On Tuesday last, two security personnel, including an officer, had embraced martyrdom while three others received injuries during clashes with militants in Zewa area of Kurram tribal district. Three militants were also killed during the operation conducted on the information about their presence there.
