ISLAMABAD - Minister for Law and Justice Farooq H Naek informed the National Assembly that Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani had issued instructions that salaries of judges should be paid. He said that budget had already been approved by the Prime Minister for disbursement of salaries to the judges of the high courts and Supreme Court. Speaking on a point of order, he said the cheques were ready for payment without any discrimination. Earlier in her budget debate speech, Justice (Retd) Fakhrunnisa Khokhar said that the judges of the high courts had been paid their salaries but the judges of the Supreme Court were yet to be paid.
