MULTAN - Member National Assembly on PPPs ticket from NA-155 Lodhran, Nawab Hayat Ullah Khan Tarin has resigned from his seat on Tuesday, just a day before the hearing of fake degree case against him. Nawab Hayat Ullah tendered his resignation after meeting with Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani in the noon and his aides claimed that he was given a go-ahead nod by the premier for by-polls. The PML-N Lodhran President Naseeb Gujjar had filed a writ petition against Hayat Ullah Tarin in Lahore High Court, alleging that he contested election on fake BA degree. The hearing of the petition is to take place on June 16 (today). Hayat Ullah Tarin held consultations with the voters and presented his resignation before the speaker of National Assembly Fehmida Mirza after taking prime minister into confidence, said a close aide of former parliamentarian, adding that he was given assurance by the PPP leadership that ticket for by-elections will be granted to him.
