ISLAMABAD Two officials of law enforcement agencies have been arrested on the charges of aerial firing near Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Iftikhar Chaudhrys residence. According to details, the incident of firing took place on late Monday night at Sector F/5 outside the Chief Justices residence. Police informed that one constable of Islamabad Police namely Rao Azhar and an official of Rangers identified as Rao Zaheer have been performing security duties there for the last few months. During their duty-hours, they have established good relation with each other. On Mondays night, both started claiming the efficiency of their departments. Rangers official said that his force is better than police. However, constable of Islamabad Police claimed that they were the best. As per source, while debating on this issue, their formal talks turned into verbal battle. Even constable of Islamabad police said that he was doing better job than any Rangers personnel. Source said that policeman asked Rangers man, if he wanted to check capacity of police he was being challenged to enter bared area where the former was deployed. On this, Rangers personnel while accepting challenge tried to enter there. area. Upon this, police official opened fire in air with his official SMG gun apparently to stop him. After hearing the bullet sound large number of police officials led by SHO Secretariat, Hakim Khan rushed to the spot. Talking to TheNation, the SHO said that both accused officials have been arrested and an FIR under section 452/511/506 B has been registered against them. Meanwhile, an inquiry under the supervision of SSP Security is underway to ascertain the facts.
