LODHRAN-Various development projects have been completed while some others are under construction here, as per the district administration of Lodhran.
Lodhran has got unprecedented funds in previous seven years, District Coordination Officer Shahid Niaz told this scribe. District Jail’s construction work started in 2008-09 with the estimate of Rs1.3185 billion and it is now in the final phases of completion, he said. District Headquarters Hospital project was started in the 2005-06 with the estimated cost of Rs400 million, he said and added District Police Line’s construction work was started in 2006-07 with Rs115.2 million funds and at this time District Police Lines is completely functional.
Construction of Trauma Centre was started in 2013-14 with the estimated cost of Rs81.1 million and it is in the final phases of completion. The other projects completed include: Gymnasium Sports Stadium’s construction was started in 2006-07 with the estimated cost of 50 million rupees, now this Gymnasium has been handed over to the District Sports Department; LRMIS Centre completed with the estimated cost of rs11.7 million; and Industrial home construction was started in 2011-12 with a cost of Rs15.7 million, these industrial homes are busy teaching skills to deserving women, he said.
Road from Dokota to Malik Tayyab Awan Hospital’s construction was started in 2010-11 with the estimated cost of 84 million rupees in accordance with Southern Punjab Development Project.
The under-construction projects are: Girls Degree College; construction of Family Court’s Building; Police Station Dhanot; Police Station Saddar Kehror Pakka; Bypass Kehror Pakka; Double Road from Khairpur to Madi Bhagoo; Road from Jalla Arayeen to Gailaywaal; Residential Block in Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Dunyapur; up-gradation of THQ Kehror Pakka; construction of Government Special Education Center Kehror; Government Girls Degree College Gailaywaal; extension of 97m Chamb to Khanwan Ghulwan; Road from Lodhran Bypass to Basti Pakka Hussainabad Haveli Naseer Khan to Hasilwala; Veterinary Hospital Gailaywaal; and Area Development Scheme’s projects, he said.
