CM to spend Eid with orphans

Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Dr Hasan Askari will celebrate Eidul Fitr in Lahore. He will visit Child Protection Bureau and to spend time with orphan and abandoned children on Eid. He will also distribute Eid gifts among them.

In his message on Eid, the Chief Minister said that Eid is a special blessing of Almighty Allah for the Muslims after the month-long prayers. This day brings the message of love, affection and brotherhood and teaches us to include the deprived segments of the society in the joys of Eid. Providing an opportunity to the impecunious strata to enjoy the happy occasions of Eidul Fitr is our religious and moral obligation.  We can achieve salvation in this life and hereafter by helping the needy and the poor to share the joys of this auspicious day, he added. This day also requires that we should forgive and forget internal differences and promote the emotions of love and affection in the society. We should also remember the great sacrifices of those martyrs who have rendered their lives for the defense of the beloved motherland. The great sacrifices of martyrs of war against terrorism cannot be forgotten and it is our collective responsibility to include the families of martyrs in the joys of Eid. We should also make a commitment to serve the ailing humanity for the sake of Allah Almighty, concluded the Chief Minister. –Staff Reporter
