ISLAMABAD - Amid continued reconciliatory efforts, the Presidency is insisting to resolve all the outstanding issues including the restoration of judges under the Charter of Democracy through Parliament. The government is ready to solve all the issues including restoration of deposed chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry through the Parliament to discourage resolution of issues in the streets, which is not an appropriate way, Spokesman for the Presidency Sunday said. However, some reliable sources said President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani had called in Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani to play his role in defusing the tension. Raisani has been active since the very start of political crisis and held several meetings with President Zardari, Prime Minister Gilani and PML-N top leadership and has already submitted his recommendations in the light of his contacts with Sharif brothers. In his continued reconciliatory efforts for bringing the political forces together for defusing tension, Raisani is in the town and is in contact with the leaders of PML-N but there has been no outcome of his efforts yet. However, the official circles are not confirming this development and Presidential Spokesman stated that there was no meeting on Sunday at Presidency.
