Long march to encourage provincialism, says Fazl

ISLAMABAD (APP) - Chief of Jamiat Ulema e Islam (Fazl) Maulana Fazlur Rehman said Sunday that the Chief of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Mian Nawaz Sharif must avoid confrontation, emotionalism, rise above from one province and think about the entire country. Talking to a private TV channel, he said long march has been confined into one province and rest of three provinces are completely calm and not involved in the turmoil. The marchers have put country's integrity in danger as it is set to encourage provincialism, which is not a good omen for the federation of Pakistan. He said the marchers should be provided free access to Islamabad to enable them to air their views and emotions freely. Punjab should be put back on the position of February 24. And the lawyers must be invited for a dialogue aimed at resolving the issue amicably. At the moment judges issue has been confined to one province. He was of the opinion that disqualification of the Sharifs was a wrong decision.
