5 more dead in Karachi target killing

KARACHI Continuing violence and target killing claimed five more lives in different parts of the provincial metropolis here on Tuesday. Activists of the Peoples Aman Committee (PAC) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) were also among dead. As per details, an MQM activist was busy in making preparations to celebrate partys foundation day at Sector 49, Korangis Ittehad Town, alongwith three other activists in the precincts of Zaman Town Police Station. Meanwhile, half a dozen men, riding on four motorcycles and equipped with arms, reached there and opened indiscriminate fire on them. Resultantly, Lal Mohammad, 18, a son of Ameer Hussain died on the spot, while two other activists Hayat and Sultan sustained injuries. The body and injured were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for treatment and other medico-legal formalities.
