PESHAWAR - Militants Tuesday killed three activists of a pro-government peace committee in tehsil Baizai of Mohmand Agency, said official sources. The bullet-riddled bodies of workers were recovered from Koda Khel, an area near Pak-Afghan border. The slain workers were kidnapped two days back and shifted to an unknown place by the militants, they added. The deceased were identified as Anwar Ali, Noor Shad and Imran. The slain volunteers are associated with Baizai Peace Committee, which is working for restoration of peace in the area. It is reported that they might have been killed for their support to the security forces, said the sources. It may be mentioned here that militants have kidnapped and killed a number of peace committee members in separate incidents so far.
