PTCL, E&T Dept enter strategic partnership

KARACHI - Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL) and Excise and Taxation Department (Government of Sindh) have entered a strategic partnership. The agreement signing ceremony was held at the office of Secretary Excise and Taxation Manzoor A Memon here on Tuesday. PTCL turned another milestone by the entry of Excise and Taxation Department (E&T) Government of Sindh in its corporate customers portfolio. In this regard, PTCL will provide data connectivity solutions to Excise and Taxation offices throughout the province of Sindh for integrating the tax collection process. This will not only facilitate taxpayers in submission of taxes but will result in transparent and efficient tax collection processes in the province. Excise & Taxation Department is the main tax collecting agency of the provincial government. The department is responsible for levy and tax collection. PTCL, the largest telecommunication service provider in the country, will provide Government of Sindh a system which will ease the tax collection procedure. These services offer secure, reliable and integrated end to end domestic connectivity solutions to cater data connectivity demand of tax collecting department. PTCL further aspires to equip Government of Sindh with its state of the art data centre services, satellite communication links, video conference and wireless broadband services. Those who were present on the occasion included Secretary Excise and Taxation Manzoor A. Memon, Director General Muhammad Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, Deputy Secretary Aftab Alam, Senior Executive Vice President (South) Abdullah Yousef, General Manager Corporate Sales Kamran Mehmood, Senior Manager Corporate Sales Syed Najam Ali and Key Accounts Manager Nabeel Mirza. A Memon said, The synergy of PTCL with Excise and Taxation Department is an ideal combination for extending communication services to remote and distant districts of the province by virtue of PTCLs huge and resilient infrastructure.
