4 more killed

KARACHI – Four people killed in separate acts of violence in the metropolis here on Friday.
A vegetable vender was gunned down in Landhi No 36-B within the precincts of Landhi police station.
Police said that victim Akram, 52, resident of same area, was standing near his residence when unidentified assailants riding a motorbike came close to him and opened fire. Resultantly he sustained multiple bullets injuries and died on the spot. After getting information police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medicolegal formalities. The motive behind the incident has yet to be ascertained. Further investigation was underway.
In another firing incident, a watchman was shot dead at Parsi ground situated near Khairabad, Manghopir within the limits of Manghopir police station.
Police said that the deceased Yousuf, 45, was on duty when some unidentified armed men shot him multiple times and managed to flee. He died on the spot. The body was shifted to ASH for autopsy. Police said that the victim hailed from interior Sindh. A bullet-riddled body of a man was found near Naad-e-Ali bus stop, Malir No 15 within the vicinity of Malir City police station.
Police said that the victim was identified as Waseem, 26, resident of Maula Khan Compound. Police said that unidentified culprits kidnapped him from somewhere and later dumped his body at an abandoned place after torture. Police shifted the body to JPMC for autopsy. Police said that the motive behind the incident had yet to be ascertained. Police lodged an FIR No.60/13 against unknown culprits while further investigation was underway.
Separately, a woman was stabbed to death inside her house situated at block 13-G, Gulshan-e-Iqbal within the premises of Gulshan-e-Iqbal police station.
Police said that the victim Bibi Marjina, daughter of Sher Ali, was lying in pool of blood inside her house. Police rushed to the spot after getting information by the residents and shifted the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy. Police said that the victim was unmarried and living with her father and brother. It suspected that the motive behind the incident might be family dispute.
