SADIQABAD - All Pakistan Clerks Association’s office-bearers addressing a press conference demanded an announcement of considerable raise in allowances, privileges and salaries of government officials and clerks according to the recommendation of the Pay and Commission Committee ahead of the caretaker government.

The Apca leaders said that their central leadership had called an emergency meeting of the provincial leadership including that of Azad Jammu and Kashmir at Rawalpindi Secretariat where the future strategy would be devised.

They added that the clerks would close down government offices and a civil disobedience movement would be begun. Apca secretary general Mehboob Khan said that the government had reneged on its promises made with the Association, disappointing all the clerks across the country.
