SHERGARH - The Shergarh Police SHO released two vintners along with the seized liquor allegedly after taking bribe here the other day.
On a tip-off, the police headed by SHO Malik Khaliq Riaz raided a running distillery in Chak 24/1.AL Balochan Wala. The police seized a drum of liquor and arrested two vintners from the spot. Instead of registering a case, the SHO released the vintners only half an hour after their arrest allegedly in return for heavy bribery.
 Political and social circles have strongly protested against the authority abuse by the police and demanded the authorities concerned to take notice of the corrupt practices of the Shergarh Police.  Meanwhile, this correspondent attempted to seek comment of the SHO concerned but in vain.
