LOS ANGELES-Chris Evans has revealed that he initially had doubts about playing Captain America.

The actor told Access Hollywood that the lengthy commitment to Marvel Studios was very intimidating from the outset.”There’s a certain apprehension initially,” Evans explained. “When you do movies one at a time, there’s a certain level of control you have in your career.” He continued: “With a six-picture contract, if one of these movies comes out, there’s a positive response and as a result your personal life and your level of anonymity is altered. 

“You may potentially need an opportunity to retreat and regroup. And if you have this contract, you may not be afforded that chance.” Evans went on to reveal some very valuable advice that led him to take up the role of the superhero in 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger.Chris Evans has also recently clarified that he will return as Captain America in future instalments of his Marvel film series.
