MANDI BAHAUDDIN - Sky-rocketing hike in the prices of daily-use items in first eight month of the present government, persistent national crises like prolonged loadshedding of electricity and gas as well as terrorism speak volumes about the PML-N performance, criticised Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PTA) Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur here the other day.
He was addressing the PAT protest rally against terrorism, corruption and unprecedented price-hike and loot sale of national institutions in the name of privatisation in front of press club.
Nawaz Gandapur said that the rulers had failed to break the begging bowl and run milk streams and if the present government continued for long time then Tharparker like situation of hunger and famine would spread in every street of the country. He said that since last general elections successful candidates had done nothing except blaming each other for rigging in elections.
He said that he saw poor state of roads and no development work in progress in Mandi Bahauddin. He said that all the funds available were being drained out on development schemes in big cities because there VIPs had to travel.
He warned people that unless they did not rise in Jinnah’s Pakistan to snatch their rights, no one would give them their rights.
He further went and said that according to World Bank report 1800,000 kiln workers were working without receiving their wages. Raise voice of truth loudly against atrocities and injustice of rulers and struggle to transform governing system of the country, he stressed.
“If few families continued occupying politics in the country then even ten elections would not bring any positive change in the country”, he maintained. The rally started from College Chowk and after passing through Grain Market and Saddr Bazaar terminated at the press club.
