LAHORE - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, presiding over a high-level meeting at Jati Umra on Saturday, reviewed the progress on the Ravi Zone Development Project.

Addressing the meeting, the prime minister asked the Punjab government and the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to work together for improvement and beautification of the city as well as to provide more facilities to the citizens. He also directed the authorities to bring the uninhabited land in and around the city into public use so that construction done on it could serve any good public purpose.

The PM also directed the departments concerned to complete feasibility of the Ravi Zone Development Project as soon as possible and also take steps to provide financially affordable recreational facilities.  He also underlined the need to restore the cultural heritage and historic sites to their original forms and texture.

The meeting was attended by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Secretary Naveed Akram Cheema, Lahore Division Commissioner Rashid Mahmood Langrial, LDA DG Ahad Cheema and other officers concerned.
