12 held over immoral activities

Islamabad - Golra police in two different incidents have arrested 12 persons for their alleged involvement in immoral activities and recovered four wine bottles from their possession.
According to details, on a tip-off, the police stopped a vehicle at Islamabad Chowk and upon inquiry found that Iftkhir, Shahzad, Manzoor, Wajid, Rizwan and Aziz along with one girl were on their way to Murree for immoral activities. Same police station arrested Kamran, Shafay, along with four girls from the area of G-13 as they all were heading for some ‘enjoyment’.
Police arrested all of them. Cases have been registered against them and further investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, Islamabad police have arrested a person for killing his wife, and 18 other outlaws besides recovering wine, weapons and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said on Sunday.
According to details, Ramana police nabbed Baber for killing his wife in the area of Merabadi. Golra police recovered one 30 bore illicit pistol along with ammunition from the possession of accused Saqib Mehmood. Shahzad Town police arrested four accused namely Irfan, Shahid, Ejaz and Jamshed involved in selling oil illegally. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway. SSP Islamabad has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to accelerate their efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements.
