HAFIZABAD - Three persons were killed in different incidents here on Saturday.

According to police source, Ihsanullah, a cultivator of Bhirri Chattha who was abducted by unidentified accused on February 28, has been murdered and his dead body has been recovered from Qadirabad-Balloki link canal near Police-Post Hameedpura on Saturday.

The dead body was shifted to the city morgue for autopsy. The police have apprehended few villagers for interrogation.

In another incident, 17-year-old Ameer Haider of Mohallah Rehmatabad died on the spot when his bike dashed against an electric pole when he attempted to save himself from a donkey cart coming from the opposite direction.

Another 22-year-old Waqas Ahmad of Mohallah Bijli Ghar committed suicide by swallowing wheat preservative tablets following an altercation with his parents. His parents had admonished him over some issue but the deceased felt insulted and perturbed, as a result he ended life by taking poisonous tablets.

TWO ROBBED: Incidents of dacoity and bike snatching have increased in the area during the week.

As per details, a villager Ghazanfar Ali, son of Mansib Ali of Sukheke was on the way to Kot Sarwar on his bike LR-1556. When he reached near canal bridge Tavelywali, two armed bandits intercepted him and snatched his bike, Rs5,000 and a cellphone.

Another Shahbaz son of Asghar of village Batairay along with his relatives was on the way to Mandi Bahauddin in a van and when they reached near Chak Ghazi, three armed robbers intercepted them and snatched Rs28,000 and other valuables from them.
