BOLAN/HARNAI - The Balochistan government has asked the Pak Army to help in relief work following heavy rains during last two days that have led to floods in Bolan, Harnai and Sibi areas.

According to reports, five highways have been washed away in Harnai district by the flood waters and the area has been cut off from rest of the province.  

The reports said the Pak Army’s different teams have started rescue operations to take out the people from the flooded areas and provide them with food and shelter.

TWO KILLED IN QUETTA FIRING

Unknown miscreants gunned down two persons here on Sunday and escaped from the scene.

SP Sariab, Zahoor Afridi said that the firing incident took place in Satellite area of Quetta where unidentified armed men riding a motorcycle, sprayed bullets at two persons.

As a result of the firing both persons died on the spot while the assailants fled from the scene after committing the dual murder.

The bodies were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities while a protest demonstration was also held against the target killing.  

The two persons stated to be belonging to Sindh.

Meanwhile, two persons were killed in lightening in Zhob on Sunday.

According to Levies sources, the lightening struck a house in Zarozai village in Zhob district killing a woman and her two year old son.

Rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the bodies to hospital.
