Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that the government was committed to weeding out terrorism through Zarb-e-Azb operation and the National Action Plan underway in the country.

He said that the nation stands united against terrorism and is ready to sacrifice even their lives to win the war along with the armed forces of Pakistan for defending the Motherland.

Addressing the party workers at his residence in Sialkot Cantt, he said that Pakistan had been playing key role against terrorism besides sacrificing a lot for elimination of terrorism and establishment of durable peace globally.

He said that government was coming up to the expectations of the people and struggling to ensure benefits of government’s polices to the common man. He narrated that the government’s policies were bringing stability in the country.

Labourer electrocuted: A labourer was electrocuted after suffering severe electrical shock from the high tension wires passing through the rooftop of his house in Kutcha Shahabpura locality here on Sunday. Yaqub was doing some work at the roof top when he received severe electrical shock and died on the spot. Rescue 1122 removed his body which was trapped in the main electricity wires.

SECURITY BEEFED UP: After suicidal attacks in Lahore, the security has been tightened in and around all the churches  in Sialkot district’s all the four Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils. According to DPO Dr Shehzad Asif Khan, all the policemen and personnel of security and law-enforcement agencies have been put on red alert.
