HAFIZABAD - Gilgit-Baltistan Governor Barjees Tahir has declared that criminals deserve no leniency and operation in Karachi has been launched by the Rangers with the consultation of all political parties and order of the Supreme Courts of Pakistan to purge the mega city of criminals and restore peace.

While talking to local media here on Saturday, he said that the operation was going on without any discrimination and all terrorists, target killers and criminals affiliated with any political or religious parties or anti-Pakistan groups would be eliminated for the stability of the country and protection of the law-abiding citizens.  Replying to a question, the GB governor gave credit for trace the murderers of journalist Wali Khan Babar to agencies, saying that all such criminals deserved stern action.

To another question, the PML-N stalwart declared that his appointment as Governor Gilgit-Baltistan was according to the Constitution and if anybody had any objection he should seek remedy from the court of law. The GB governor made a short visit to Hafizabad to condole the sad demise of a relative of Mian Muhammad Mansha, TMO Safdarabad.

PPP FOUNDING MEMBER DIES: Rustam-e-Hafizabad and founder member of PPP Inayat Pehlawan died here after protracted illness. He was 70. He was laid to rest in the railway line graveyard Saturday evening. The funeral was attended by large number of citizens, wrestlers and PPP workers.
