London- Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain today claimed that his party has no armed wing .

Addressing the party workers, Altaf Hussain reiterated that they should not forget MQM’s teachings regarding tranquility. He said that if some members of his party, which has support of millions of people, take law into their own hands, it is their personal act and such actions are contrary to the party policies. MQM has always believed in non-violence, he added.

Altaf Hussain said the MQM is a party of democratic, liberal and progressive mindset and it treats everyone equally keeping all the ethnic, linguistic, cultural, provincial, sectarian and religious differences aside. MQM continues its constitutional, legal and democratic struggle for this purpose, he said.

He said that some elements are using his party’s name and giving statements against Rangers and police. Such elements have no links with MQM and they are only trying to malign party’s image.
