Karachi- Sindh High Court (SHC) today issued a notice to Director General Rangers (DG) and Inspector General Sindh (IG), for March 24 in a case filed against the detention of Muttahida Qaumi Movement s (MQM s) workers.

Two-member bench of SHC was hearing the case. During the hearing Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif informed the court, that Rangers had apprehended as many as 110 workers during their raid on Nine Zero however, he further stated, police have not made the entire detentions public.

The plea, filed against MQM activists’ detention, further appealed the court to allow the workers to meet their families. The court adjourned the hearing by issuing notices to IG Rangers and IG Sindh for March 24. Talking to the media persons after the hearing, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif revealed that political leaders are being targeted in the name of so-called operation initiated to combat terrorism.
