Court allows more time to police for arresting Anwar

The Supreme Court Friday gave Inspector General Sindh Police AD Khawaja time until Monday for arresting SSP Malir Rao Anwar in Naqeebullah Murder Case.

During the today’s hearing Inspector General Sindh Police AD Khawaja had requested for some more time from Supreme Court for arresting absconded SSP Malir Rao Anwar in the Naqeebullah Murder Case.

Chief Justice Saqib Nisar gave IG Khawaja time until Monday and asked him to submit a report on march 19 in Islamabad registry. Khawaja assured court that Rao Anwar will be arrested soon.

Despite of the help from agencies, authorities still could not arrest Rao Anwar. However, there are some rumors that Anwar has secretly flown abroad but IG Khawaja denied this saying that there are no evidence in this regard.

While talking to media after the hearing, IG Khawaja said that court has granted some more time on request. He also said on the occasion that the Anwar’s footages of airports from Karachi and Islamabad are not clear.

Whereas, Mohammad Khan, father of Naqeebullah, denied any possibility of dealing with Rao Anwar. He said that he and his family believe in courts and will continue to appear before courts until Rao Anwar’s arrest.

Earlier in this week, Court received second letter from Rao Anwar requesting to unfreeze his bank accounts. But the letter is yet to be assured regarding its sender.
