Super Football League trials schedule announced

LAHORE The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) announced trial schedule to select participating teams for the 2nd Super Football League (SFL) 2010 which will be held at five cities. The event will be played from June 12 to August 8 at Karachis Peoples Sports Complex, Mauripur Road, Lyari Town. Holders Islamabad United, Peshawars Tribe FC, Karachi Energy (named Karachi Bazigar in 2007), Quetta Zorawar and Lahore Lajpaals will be among the participants in matches of League Phase, followed by semi-finals and final. According to PFF Secretary General Lt Col (r) Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi, the secretary general of province/region, representative of PFF and sponsor will be among the selection committee along with panel of coaches in all centres where three-day trails will begin daily at 3 pm. Qayyum Sports Complex, Bara Road will host trials for Tribes FC Peshawar from May 18 to 20 where coaches will be Nasir Ismail, Gohar Zaman, Najib Ullah Najmi and Shakoor. The selection process to form Quetta Zorawer will be held at Yazdhan Khan High School, Alamdar Road from May 20 to 22 under Akhtar Mohiuddin, Muhammad Dawood, Muhammad Karim and Aziz Ullah. Islamabad FA will host trials for titlist Islamabad United where Sajjad Mehmood, Shaukat Ali, Haji Abdul Sattar and Aslam Khan will note the skills of players from May 21 to 23 at PTCL Ground, Sector G-8/4. Lahore Lajpaals will be formed at Punjab Stadium, Ferozpur Road, Lahore from May 24 to 26 under the eyes of coaches Shahzad Anwar, Muhammad Habib, Tanveer Ahmed and Asghar Khan Anjum. The fifth and final trials will be held at Karachis Peoples Sports Complex from May 27 to 29 with coaches being Hassan Baloch, Zafar Iqbal, Salim Patni and Zahid Taj.
