LAHORE – No respite from loadshedding as it has been observed in City despite the decrease in electricity shortfall. The situation is not different in other parts of the country as well.
The National Transmission and Dispatch Company Limited (NTDCL) said the Monday’s power shortfall at national grid was 3,500MW, about 1,000MW less from the previous days - it means about four to six hours load shedding. However, contrary to the claims, the cities are under the grip of 10 hours while rural areas are facing more than 12 hours shutdown.
An official of Lesco said: “We are conducting 10 to 12 hours loadshedding in city’s feeders and more than 12 hours in rural limits.” He added it was expected the gap between demand and supply would shrink till Thursday (tomorrow).
