WAZIRABAD - Cattle lifters, robbers and thieves are unbridled in the precincts of Sohdra police as 25 buffaloes, cows, goats, mare, motor and engines Worth Rs4.5 million were stolen during the last 40 days.
The recent cattle lifting incident took place in village Laveri Wala where 12 buffaloes and cows of one Aslam and his brother-in-law Ehsanullah were lifted from their outhouse and took them to the GT Road near Chenab River for loading in a truck. Meanwhile thee of them ran away from the site and got back.
Earlier, one month ago, 10 cattle of worth Rs1.5 million were lifted from the enclosure of Sarwar in village Maaney Wala. One buffalo of Nazeer was lifted from village Patthanwali 20 days ago. A mare worth Rs300,000 of Imtiaz Aliwas was stolen from a dairy farm in village Mehadpur.
One agri motor and one peter engine were stolen from Ismailpur and Kot Mohammad Hussain some days ago.
Three road robbers held control of Itefaq Chowk to Rodala link road and snatched valuables from eight pedestrians and injured a women sitting with her husband on motor cycle who put up resistance. The robbers hit her with a rifle’s bat on her shoulder.
