Azhar Saeed Butt, Chairman FPCCI Punjab Region said while welcoming the Iranian Consulate General here at FPCCI Regional Office Lahore,  It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you at FPCCI. Pakistan and Iran, two brotherly Islamic countries, enjoy common bonds of relationship in religious, cultural and social outfits. With the changing global scenario and in the backdrop of international meltdown, the need for enhancing regional connectivity especially with brotherly Islamic countries has emerged as an antidote to elevate the living conditions of masses. Time is ripe now to devise a mechanism for promoting regional co-operation through expanding the horizon of economic diplomacy in order to effectively tackle the economic challenges exacerbated by geo-political turmoil. We highly appreciate and acknowledge the significance of historical relations between Iran and Pakistan and expect to develop mutual business networking through increased people to people contact. Pakistan offers a tremendous potential in terms of Foreign Direct investment. Endowed with huge natural resources, our homeland is a high growth gateway economy to South Asia. Cheap raw material, skilled labor, congenial environment, business friendly policies and a consumer market of more than 180 million definitely presents Pakistan regionally unmatched which offers return on investment as high as others cannot.
